The idea of rock climbing wall was first heard of in the United Kingdom and was first constructed by Don Robinson who was a lecturer in Physical Education. He is also famous for being the founder of DR climbing walls.
In these places they will normally be simple equipment made of plywood and will be held to a solid structure by use of screws and bolts.
These structures will also have grips normally made from various colors. The difference in color is a unique way of indicating the different routes to be followed. The artificial equipment used for this sport is a good thing for those learning the spot. When on construction the first people to use this unique equipment are given a chance to determine the difficulty in the sport.
